biennial_luncheon.jpgIf you’re planning to attend the biennial meeting of American Baptists from around the nation (and the globe!) on June 26-28, you will require some food. Tickets for the International Ministries (IM) lunches on June 27 & 28 in Pasadena are still available.

Why go? During the two hours each day you’ll receive nourishment for your spiritual journey with “A Taste of the World Mission Conference.” The programs will stretch your understanding of mission and challenge you to new levels of personal involvement. You will have an opportunity to meet two dozen missionaries along with international guests from Serbia, Japan and Burma. There will be nine practical global workshops, interactive mission activities and opportunities for dialogue and relationship building at the IM exhibit.

Because these events are lunches, you’ll also gain sustenance for your physical journey. Many have said that previous Biennial lunches have offered “too much food” for those seeking to be good stewards of their finances and health. Tickets are just $20 for a boxed lunch each day. While you’re enjoying your lunch, you’ll experience a relaxed atmosphere where you will encounter missionaries, international guests and IM staff—a perfect time for asking questions and sharing stories.

These lunches will provide a sample of the popular World Mission Conferences, which have been held in a number of regions across the nation in recent years. Each lunch’s program is unique with different content on each day. You can gain a wider perspective on the work of International Ministries by attending both Saturday and Sunday.

Dynamic videos, engaging stories, thought-provoking skits, international music and worship as well as a well-balanced lunch can be yours when you sign up today!
