International Ministries

Answering the Call for Economic Development

International Ministries (IM) sends missionaries and development workers to build and strengthen local economies. Utilizing their expertise in agriculture, finance and technology, IM global servants train and mentor local leaders and work alongside them to achieve short-term goals and long-term sustainability.

The biblical celebration of eating “the fruit of the labor of your own hands” (Psalm 128:2) motivates IM to equip families. Economically stable communities are better able to endure the impact of unstable global markets and provide opportunity  and hope to the next generation while  nurturing a strong local church.

Fourteen long-term missionaries and 166 volunteers and short-term missionaries worked in 2011-2012 with global church partners to improve economic opportunities worldwide. IM supported these endeavors with nearly $1 million. In 2013, 13 long-term economic development missionaries are serving, with $790 thousand budgeted for their ministry.
