John Armagost

Missionary

After years of successful local church ministry in Kobe, Japan, John and Tomoko Armagost have both narrowed and extended the scope of their work. Narrowing their focus primarily to youth and children's ministries, the Armagosts are serving with several Japan Baptist Union churches as they seek to reach and to disciple young people in the Kansai area. They help churches make Christ know to youth and children immersed in a very materialistic culture. Working with local pastors, they seek to develop and strengthen ministries while building and training lay leadership at the same time. Ministries include after school programs, Bible story times at church pre-schools, youth groups and Bible fellowship times, and preaching.
