Pray for the health of Walt White, Global consultant

November 11, 2011

In late October Walt was diagnosed as having suffered a heart attack. He was in Central Asia when he experienced chest pain that was misdiagnosed. He returned to the United States where doctors confirmed that he had suffered major heart damage and performed surgery to reopen three arteries to his heart.

Walt writes: “It is a miracle that God kept me alive in Central Asia, on the tortuous trip home, and for the days before we got the correct diagnosis.

“There has been major heart damage.  We will take a three month period of rebuilding, and finally catching up on the reading, writing, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the PERSONAL thank you notes to those of you who have been supporting me in so many ways for so long.  I feel God has given me several new insights into my work even in this last year, so am eager for this time for research and reflection.  After three months, we will evaluate what sorts of things are reasonable, and how to take it from there.  Meanwhile, there is much relaxed home based work to do.

“Thank you again for your prayers.  I have experienced a remarkable peace from God throughout even the extremely painful incidents, and the worst case scenarios being presented.”

  • Pray for a full recovery for Walt and for God’s peace for him, his wife Jeanine and the entire White family.
Walt's vision is to see people from the major historical religions come to know God in all his fullness through Jesus Christ and to live in obedience to Christ in a way that is faithful to God and honors their culture. He seeks to engage in effective and sustainable evangelism that results in transformed lives and communities. For more information on Walt’s ministry visit his page on IM’s website
