These students attend a class taught by missionary Ruth Mooney at the Universidad Biblica Latinoamericana in San Jose, Costa Rica. There is a long waiting list of students needing scholarship funds to attend UBL
Goal: $4,210 per student
About this Mission Project
Imagine paying just $70 for a 4 credit college course! $11.50/day would make it possible for a seminary student to attend classes, plus cover their costs for books & supplies, food & housing, as well as their insurance!! The cost of a full year of seminary at the Universidad Biblica Latinoamericana (UBL) is $4,210 – far beyond the reach of most students in Latin America.
The UBL in San Jose is an ecumenical seminary that has been preparing church leaders for all of Latin America since 1924. In addition to the main campus in San Jose, the UBL has 10 extension theological centers in other countries for those unable to travel to Costa Rica. The need for trained leadership is urgent throughout Latin America.
These scholarships will help the UBL to prepare more pastors and church leaders, train teachers for the extension centers, and promote networking and understanding among people in different Latin American countries.
Mission Project Specifics
