Praise God:
- For all the prayers and encouragement from the Body of Christ! We know we are not alone but part of a wonderful Body of caring and compassionate Christians!
- Over the summer Beng, Courtney, and Virginia (volunteers) were able to form some new relationships with women. Virginia returned to the U.S. and we are grateful for her time with us.
- We are also grateful for volunteers Elise, Julie, Kristin, and Lindsey who served over the summer and for Sonya, Cathy and Suparp helping us with legal procedures.
- Annie is thankful to get back to the bars with the team and to see the women and children again. It was really a renewal of the purpose behind the ministry and of the calling God has given.
- We went to visit "K" and she said, "I have never had so many care for me this way and have hope in me. I will come back to NightLight soon." She was teary when we left.
- God's Spirit has been working in the hearts of the women.
- We are grateful to God for Noi and thank her for the love and attention she
gave to the women through her Bible teaching over the summer. - Thank God for Pon who will be coming to work with us this week. Pon has a lot of pastoral experience with Compassion projects. Her mature faith and hands-on training will be a blessing.
- Thank God for Penny who has come for a few weeks from England to help out in response to God's call and has truly been a blessing to us and to the women in the bars.
- Thank God for the women of ECB and Chaeng Wattana for supporting the jewelry project.
- ?We continue to thank ECB for their support and hospitality!??
Prayer Requests:
- Please continue to pray for "K". She is at war in her spirit as she longs for the love and acceptance she experienced at NightLight but is in bondage to alcohol and the bars. She is convicted and has been able to see the difference. Pray for her release and for her father to release her from his expectations that drive her back. Pray for his freedom as well.
- Please pray for "L-y", "Ph", "Wg", "U", "Kt", "Rn" who are still working in the bars. They have all expressed interest in leaving. One of them is HIV positive. One of them has been at work for 6 years and is quite depressed and despondent.
- Remember to pray for "T-g" and "T" as they work with us and learn more of Christ.
- This last week a fire destroyed two storage units which happened to be where our donated furniture was being stored for free. Pray for the company and others who lost their property. We thank God no one was injured and know that God will provide furniture we need.
- We have been lead to pray about a certain building in the area, seen in a vision by someone in the U.S. God is calling us to increase prayer walking in that area. Please pray for a breakthrough in this area.
- Pray for the man who runs the business in this building. He is in trouble with the law. This last Wednesday we ate dinner in his restaurant and prayed. On Friday he turned himself in to the police. God has a plan. Pray for the breakthrough to come in His time!
- Please continue to pray for the foundation paperwork to move quickly so we can be set up according to the law. We are grateful for the help of some lawyers from the church.
- Tara (leadership team) is still expecting to deliver her baby any time now.
- Please pray for Beng's health and strength. Also her mother is struggling.
- Please remember to pray for the protection of the team leaders and our families: Annie, Beng, Tara, Natalie, Robi, and Pon.
- May God bless you abundantly! We appreciate your support and the encouragement that comes from knowing you are praying for the women and children and for the NightLight team as we minister.
Thank you for your faithful prayers!
God bless you!
NightLight Leadership Team
