Well friends,

Here is the latest news.Yesterday, Mom had a biopsy and lymphectomy on a chain of hard nodes found along her clavicle (collar bone).They were found to be positive for cancer and a metastisis of her breast cancer.There is some concern that it also involves her lungs now and as previously stated, the pericardium.They did not do the second procedure to biopsy both masses in her chest because it is most likely the same type of cancer.So, Monday she has an appointment with her oncologist and will start chemotherapy again.

I will return to La Romana on Tuesday as scheduled and then back to Columbia, MO in August for a family reunion.Obviously I would ask for continued strength and prayer for my mother.This is not the best of news and there is a lot of concern about how quickly these masses are growing and how quickly the nodes appeared.My mother is confident that God is walking with her and she does not fear the future, she just wants more of it!So, please remember her in your very busy lives and know that I could not be going through this myself without all of your support.Your prayers and emails are so uplifting and welcoming to me.I am not personally responding to many of the emails as there are so many but I want each of you to know that I am reading them and remembering all of you fondly.Thank you again for all of your help and support.For those that would like to write a personal note to my mother here is her information:Nancy Engel, 2901 Blue Ridge Road, Columbia, MO 65202.Her email is ngelng@hotmail.com if you would rather email her.Blessings on each of you!
