Hard Working Dog
Dear friends,
thought you'd like to see Kobe hard at work for International Ministries! He's
advertising with the cap!!
La Romana has been more wet than dry in the last week and sometimes the rain just makes you want to curl up and watch a good movie. Kobe, my dog, has been tired lately (more from his illness than from hard work!) so is resting a lot. The rain makes for a lazy day for all of us. It is difficult to go to the batey villages with lots of rain because the roads flood and the mud makes many roads impassable. We all take transportation so much for granted when it's easy! I have patients that can't make it into the hospital for their medicines or for lab tests because of the rain and so they have to stay home and pray that their illness doesn't get worse. Even our staff is having trouble getting into work today. I had to go and pick up our physical therapist at his house because I had one of the only vehicles that could make it through the streets. And the streets were dangerous because cars were stalled everywhere and the current of the water running down the streets could sweep you away. The sidewalks were flooded, too, so people are walking down the middle of the street trying to stay out of the current.
- So, please keep La Romana, the rains and the villages in your prayers as life is trying to go on in the middle of all of the rain!
Love in Christ,
