Missionaries’ good works need airtime

Greetings,

All of our missionaries are doing awesome things in response to God's call. I feel like I'm running as fast as I can to attempt to keep up with them and get the good news out to IM's constituancies. This weekend two of our global consultants are being recognized for their contributions by being awarded honorary doctoral degrees.  Lauran Bethal will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters (D.H.L) from Palmer Theological Seminary; and Dan Buttry will receive a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) from Central Seminary.

I am looking forward to attending Lauran's ceremony because it's close to my home in the Philadelphia suburbs, and the dinner in her honor tonight.  Dan's commencement will be in Kansas City and you know I will be praying for him even though I can't be there.

I invite you to follow me on twitter as I give my impressions of the Palmer commencement ceremony "real time."  I am hoping Dan is able to email his thoughts and feelings prior to the Central Baptist ceremony and I will get those out to my followers as well.

God is working in the world on so many levels.  My job is to get the news out to you.  It's an awesome task, and one that I am so grateful to be called to do, but truly overwhelming most of the time! :-)  Let me know if you have any good ideas to help me stay on top of it all.

Blessings, Catherine
