After 35 years of being involved in education at Woodstock School in north India, Cathy's ministry is changing. In January of 2010, she moved to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and is using her extensive administrative skills to offer support in the offices of International Ministries.
Cathy remains very connected with many of the partner schools in India. She provides encouragement through her communications, prayers and occasional visits. Cathy is also involved in conducting an ongoing survey to seek better ways for the Christian schools of India to work together.
While at Woodstock, Cathy was the director of admissions. Woodstock School is an international Christian school for students in grades 1 - 12. It has approximately 465 students from more than two dozen countries. About 50% of the students are from non-Christian homes.
Cathy sees whatever she is asked to do as an opportunity to witness to
Christ’s love. When asked about the long term impact of her ministry among the students of Woodstock she said, “We can know that God’s goodness will reach many places
where we cannot go, through the lives and Christian witness of many of
these young people."
In addition to her administrative duties, Cathy looked after a group of high school students who came to Woodstock for a year under the SAGE (Studies Abroad for Global Education) program. Her experience helping those students make the transition from the U.S. or Europe to life in India at a boarding school, is now helpful in reverse, as Cathy adjusts to living in the U.S.
