The host churches were moved by this ministry for the physically challenged. Team members who do not have the skills and training for special needs participated by preaching and witnessing.
It was physically demanding due to the heat, mosquitoes and bumpy roads to say the least. However, it was refreshing to experience the simple life in Nagaland and the hospitality of the people. Team members prayed about going on future mission trips to Nagaland.
Mar contacted church leaders in Nagaland well ahead of time to have this trip happen and got the team prepared for this trip no less than three months ahead of time meeting, praying, and sharing information.
Members plan to visit local churches and the mission board and regional mission team to share their experiences to mobilize people with special needs skills to volunteer in future mission trips. The challenge in Nagaland is to get the churches to be actively involved in the special needs ministry as it is a new concept for many church leaders.
