A group of six persons from the First Baptist Church of Framingham, MA visited the Baptist Church Peniel of Santa Elena in Usulutan, El Salvador. This coming was not casual. Part of their agenda was to deepen the relationship of sister churches between these two local churches. At the start of the visit the work group helped to paint the buildings of the temple, and other facilities. They also brought medicines and equipment for the local hospital.
During the past four years this group came to us through the Baptist Federation to help build a house for a person affected by the earthquake on January 2001. The second time they came to help the church in the construction of a room at the church. The second experience also involved the building of a deep relationship. With the third visit this group came as ambassadors to sign the covenant of mutual support between the two churches.
The group was focused especially on their interest of continuing that relationship through prayers, mutual support for the kids, and communicating the news of what is happening in both churches for continued praying for the power of God in their respective churches.
May God bless our brothers and sisters that came as representatives of the FBC Framingham and hope that He continues to open their hearts for the whole mission of God here in El Salvador.
