Building Opportunities for Work

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

All is going day by day at the work in el Puente Cusctlan where we try to build up the Peace Park and the Retreat Center.

Today I took the pictures that I include to you so you can see the progress of the work at the retaining wall.

The rainy season is over for us. Up until now it is going slowly but is there and we are looking that the waters. They will not affect the advances of the work at the wall. The hot weather is usually here for several weeks after that comes the rain.

With the progress of the work the need for funds is always a challenge. We try to do the best with the sale used clothes, including the tithe of the offerings also the women at the coop are tithing to help with the economic needs.

We know that to build up a dream always is a challenge but with the help of God and friends like you that vibrate with the mission I know that this will be possible.

I include photos of the 10 coop women that are making the husk dolls to send to California to sister Lahoma Ballester, a powerful faith woman that is promoting the peace park and the coop of women. The women come with their children to the work and the kids pass time at the swing waiting for their mothers.

There are other women asking to work but we don't have enough materials and money to include them in the work. Each one will receive 5 dollars a day for their work depending on the sale of the art crafts outside. Please pray for this coop. This is one possibility of economic help in the middle of the increase in the cost of living.

The increase in cost of public transportation makes life here more difficult for many, especially with the high level of unemployment. Yesterday a serious period of disturbances at the capital produced the killing of two police and 11 injured. This experience was compared to the period of the civil war for many.

Build peace with no justices is something that is not easy.

Please keep us in your prayers,

Rev. Dr. Magda Aguirre
