Madeline serves as the coordinator of mission volunteers and groups throughout the Caribbean. She is located in the Dominican Republic.

She writes: The last weeks have been of chaos not only in Haiti but also in the Dominican Republic. We are ONE Island and anything that happens in Haiti happens in Dom. Rep. too.  We have been receiving wounded Haitians thru the border via Ambulance or via Helicopters directly to the Dario Contreras Hospital in Santo Domingo. After release from hospital they go to refugee houses and then back to Port au Prince, Haiti.  Also, many volunteers and teams come daily to Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo and from here we coordinate their trip to Port au Prince.

We visit the hospital as frequently as we can and the refugee houses. We arrange to give each one of them a "duffle bag" where they can put their personal things like soap, clothes, medicines, etc. They came with nothing, now they can take a least a bag and clothes with it. Many churches, friends and organizations have make possible these visits and bags for Haitians. I thank all of them.

Next week we will start visiting Haiti with the Good Samaritan Hospital of La Romana to distribute food and basic needs to the people there.
