Dear Loved Ones in Christ,

Greetings in name of our Savior, who surprised us with love and tender care for promoting the values of dignity and possibilities for others.
For first time, I organized the Corn Husk Festival at the Peace Park at the Cuscatlan Bridge over the Lempa River in El Salvador on November 18, 2006.
With the presence of delegates from 11 churches and friends of the village, together we shared a fun
day of Christian music and sales of craft items made by Baptist women.
This was an excellent opportunity to share Christian fellowship in open space at our peace park.
The women sold the corn husk dolls, others sold food and the Malvinas Baptist church brought coffee from their farm.
The Lolotique church celebrated a baptism in the Lempa River.
Christian music of the youth was present and Andean music was the closing session of the event. Most of those present were youth.
The farmers that had benefited from the Products for the Harvest project brought an offering for the Baptist Federation who helped them with that initiative. Thanks to God the rainy—growing—season concluded, with their crops doing well.
Those present suggested we continue this type of event. They liked the way it promotes Christians gathering, and the uniting of churches.
By faith, we continue building the retaining wall that will protect the land of the peace park and the retreat center.
- Pray for a happy ending for the construction of the wall.
