It hardly seems possible that we've been back in the United States for almost one year!We will be returning to La Paz the first week of June.As you might imagine, these final six weeks are busy with last minute invitations to speak, squeezing in visits with families and friends, and the dreaded question "Where will we put all the stuff we bought this year?!"Our hearts are longing to see our friends in La Paz.We look forward to engaging in ministry with them soon. Here's an update about what's been happening in the last several months:

The First Baptist Church held an evangelism campaign in Cabo San Lucas. This was held in the neighborhood where their mission is located.Over 70 people helped to coordinate the effort. Many people made decisions for Christ!

A youth group from the FBC of Bethlehem, PA came to complete more work at the Theological School.Stonework was laid out for pathways, and the library roof was poured.Their youth pastor, Mark Larrimer, and his wife Susan supervised the group.Mark and Susan did volunteer work in La Paz for 3 months! They led worship with Crossroads, the English fellowship, as well as coordinated ministry projects with the seven Mexican Baptist churches.Needless to say, their lives were transformed.Expect to hear more about this couple!

Many leaders in the Baptist Churches are beginning to read and study the Spanish translation of The Purpose Driven Life.We are expecting great things from this initiative!

The movie THE PASSION is now showing in Mexico. The Baptist Churches organized members to hand out brochures as people exited the movie. The brochures invited people to learn more about the story of Jesus and how to contact a local church for more information.

Several Baptist pastors and lay leaders are traveling to Ensenada the week after Easter to attend leadership seminars.Pray for their safe travel and that God would anoint their fellowship during this time.

Cristo Viene, the Fifth Baptist Church, was without a pastor most of the 3 years we lived in La Paz.At the end of December 2003, a new pastor was invited to come!Pastor Braulio, his wife Estelle and their 2 children are now a part of this community.Pastor Guillermo and his wife Flora of El Mesias, the Third Baptist Church, arrived just as we left a year ago.So we have two new pastors & their families to get to know when we return.

Getsemani, the convention church located in San Jose (next to Cabo San Lucas) is flourishing!Their mission El Buen Pastor (The Good Shepherd) officially organized into a church. And now El Buen Pastor has started another mission! This area is growing by leaps and bounds as people arrive daily from mainland Mexico looking for work.

Pastor Hernando and wife Ana of Principe de Paz, The Second Baptist Church, gave birth to a healthy baby boy in late December. We can't wait to meet him!His name: David, in honor of a certain missionary we know!We had the privilege of marrying Hernando and Ana during our first term in La Paz.

Pastor Arturo of Casa de Oracion resigned last month. He has family in Coolidge, AZ and has long wanted to move to the U.S. and do ministry here.He visited the states last month to make contacts. He and his family are presently applying for visas to enter the U.S.Pray for him, his wife Lourdes, and their 3 children as they contemplate this major transition.

Pastor Alejandro, his wife Brenda and their 3 daughters were in a car accident last week.Praise God none of them were injured!Alejandro is the pastor of the First Baptist Church. We haven't heard what happened to their van yet.Pray that God would meet their transportation needs.

The English Fellowship Crossroads is on the move again! You might recall that when we left last May, they had to find a new place to meet because our house had been their worship location.God graciously provided another location for one year. But at the end of May, that space will no longer be available.Well, God is now leading them into a new exciting venture! One of the members who is a local businessman in La Paz acquired a piece of land adjacent to his property. He is making it available to build a worship center and a mission house.Construction is underway! We can hardly wait to get back and see what's going on!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and encouragement!God is faithful!

In Christ's Love,

David, Joyce, Ian and Aaron Reed
