In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Christian Community Credit Union donated $10,000 to One Great Hour of Sharing through American Baptist International Ministries (IM) to aid in Haiti disaster relief efforts. The amount will go towards food, water and medical supplies which are desperately needed at this time.

“In situations like these, there is no question of whether to help or not to help, but how?” Said John T. Walling, President/CEO of Christian Community Credit Union. “We are praying for the people of Haiti and we know that through our partnership with IM, we can provide emergency medical care and supplies to earthquake victims.”

This donation has been generated from the “Cards the Give to Missions and Ministries” program. These funds are made possible by credit union members and ministries using their CCCU credit and debit cards.

IM and Christian Community Credit Union will partner to launch a new International Ministries’ Visa credit card later this year.  A portion of every purchase made with this card will go to benefit IM’s global missions. “What a convenient way to give to missions and help to spread the love of Christ throughout the world,” commented Reid Trulson, IM executive director.
