Kristy Engel, American Baptist missionary to
the Dominican Republic,
recently reported that the medical team working in Haiti this week is doing an amazing
job, as have previous weeks' teams. They worked in Carrefour
Port-au-Prince and treated more than 520 patients in just one day.
Kristy reports that they are seeing more and more cases of malaria each
day. Today Kristy treated a 9-year-old girl with malaria and a
temperature of 104 degrees. Likewise, she treated a worker on the
compound, also with malaria.
