Dwight is going to Cerro Verde, on the coast, with a four-person team from Temuco and the Mapuche churches, to build two mediaguas. We will be adding improvements that the standard mediagua does not have: insulated panels, water and electric installations, and a bathroom and windows. The government is install...ing 40,000 mediaguas. The people are asking for better protection from the coming wet, cold, humid and long Chilean winter. We can provide a basic winterizing service for around $500. With this prototype we can start looking at putting volunteer teams to work.
