We know multiplication, this is not a mistake. Neither is Math different in Spain. Patience and you will find out what we talk about…
Have you ever asked yourself if your prayers are answered? The final answer is a definite YES! Thanks to your prayers, we are where we needed to arrive, safe and sound; surrounded by people that has received us warmly and made our transition smoother.
We enjoyed “traveling” with our home church choir (FBC Caguas, Puerto Rico) as they went to PA to celebrate their 80th ministry anniversary (thanks to emails) and enjoyed Caguas’ service last Sunday on upstream.
Being close to the Escobar Family (Samuel & Lilly, Lilly Ester, Pedro & their son Juan) has been a blessing. They are very loving and cooperative.
We have kept a written diary (in Word) of our transition from US/PR assignment to Spain for those who enjoy detailed stories. You can ask for a copy by email.
Why 12 x 12 = 4? Very simple: we moved 12 suitcases (and 4 carry-ons) on foot through 12 blocks; it took us 4 rounds/trips and we are on week 4.
You, through your prayers, encouragement, and financial support are making it possible for us to be here and we are grateful to the Lord for being so loved and supported.
Our prayer is that we can discern where the areas of most need are that we can be useful. This Friday we will meet Jorge Pastor, Representative for the Valencia Community Association in UEBE. We will visit him in Denia with Manuel Sarrias (general secretary in UEBE) and Samuel Escobar. On Saturday we will attend with Samuel to a workshop for the Sunday school teachers in the Christian education ministry at the Church in Quart. This church was established in 1888 and her ministries are varied and solid. We have just witnessed the baptism of 9 new members from 5 different countries out of the more than 20 represented in this church.
As we walk through the streets, we see a variety of migrants, seeking a better future. May the Lord use us to show them His better future as they consider their best decision today, accepting Him as Lord and Savior. May we be salt and light in the midst of a challenged society. Thanks for sharing in the journey!

Sabemos multiplicar, esto no es un error. Tampoco es que las matemáticas sean diferentes aquí en España. Paciencia y pronto entenderán a qué nos referimos…
Si alguna vez se preguntaron si sus oraciones eran contestadas, la respuesta es un rotundo SÍ… Gracias a sus oraciones, estamos en donde teníamos que llegar, sanos y salvos; rodeados de gente que nos ha recibido con afecto y han hecho nuestra transición una más placentera.
Fue grato “acompañar” al Coro Mayor de la PIB Caguas, Puerto Rico en su viaje a Filadelfia, Pensilvania (la maravilla de las comunicaciones) y “estar” en el culto de Caguas este pasado domingo por la magia del upstream.
Estar cerca de los Escobar (Samuel y Lilly, su hija Lilly Ester, esposo Pedro e hijo Juan) ha sido de mucho apoyo. Son unas familias muy amorosas y cooperadoras.
Tenemos disponible un diario de la transición (en Word) para quienes gustan de leer noticias en mayor detalle. Nos lo pueden solicitar por e-mail.
¿Por qué entonces el 12 x 12 = 4? Muy sencillo, mudamos 12 maletas (y 4 bultos de mano) a pie por 12 cuadras/manzanas/bloques; nos tomó 4 viajes y estamos cumpliendo la semana 4.
Ustedes, con sus oraciones, su estímulo y apoyo económico han hecho posible que estemos aquí y damos gracias al Señor por sabernos tan amados y apoyados.
Nuestra oración es que podamos discernir cuáles son las áreas de mayor necesidad donde podemos ser útiles. Este viernes conoceremos a Jorge Pastor, Vocal de la Comunidad Valenciana de la UEBE. Le visitaremos en Denia con Manuel Sarrias (secretario general de la UEBE) y Samuel Escobar. El sábado compartiremos con el ministerio de educación cristiana de la Iglesia de Quart en unos talleres de preparación para maestros de escuela bíblica al que Samuel nos ha invitado. Esta iglesia fue fundada en 1888 y sus ministerios son muy variados y formados. Recientemente presenciamos los bautismos de 9 personas de 5 diferentes nacionalidades de las más de 20 representadas en esta Iglesia.
Al caminar por las calles de esta ciudad, vemos variedad de migrantes que han llegado con esperanzas de un mejor futuro. Que el Señor nos use para compartirles Su mejor futuro que comienza con una decisión presente de recibirle como Señor y Salvador; que podamos ser sal y luz en medio de una aparente bonanza a pesar de los desafíos del día. ¡Gracias por ser parte de esta aventura!
