Funny how God works, isn’t it?

As I stopped by to drop something off at my friend Imara's house yesterday she needed to tell me something important. She said in My friend Imara.Spanish of course, "It is funny how God works isn't it? The other day on my way home from Los Cuadros (a squatter community on the outskirts of San Jose) where we have our children's club every Saturday, I was worried about how we were going to be able to continue our ministry with the children and where we could find the money to pay for the food and supplies that we use each week.

Many of the children come without having had anything to eat that day. I felt torn asking our church congregation again since so many of them are barely surviving as it is. As I got out of the taxi and walked home, I started to pray and asked God for guidance and perhaps a miracle because I couldn't find any other solution. Not more than 30 minutes later, while chopping up vegetables for a soup I continued to pray until I heard the doorbell and then saw my husband with an envelope. He said it contained a donation from the Bracelets of Hope ministry to be used in the Children's Club. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. God is so good and His timing is even better."

Jamie, Micah and David had no idea that the Children's Club run by the Great Commission Baptist Church here in San Jose, Costa Rica was running short on funds. They just wanted to help support some folks who were caring for kids. But God knew and used the funds that Bracelets of Hope had received from a number of caring individuals and churches, to bless this ministry and the children they serve at just the right time. Often we have no idea where the gifts we give to the World Mission Offering will go or when exactly they will be used, but we can be assured that God does and that they will be used for just the right thing at just the right time.

Funny how God works, isn't it? Funny yes, but good.
