Literacy teachers in the Molembe area are ecstatic about the gift of Bibles from the Oregon American Baptist Women's Ministry. On Saturday, Miriam bicycled 50kms out and back to deliver 30 Bibles to literacy teachers. Along the way several people offered to help push the bike over rough spots and two steep hills. It was a long day punctuated the evident joy of the volunteer teachers receiving the Bibles. THANK YOU OREGON ABWM!
Leonora Muleme of Mikingi wrote a thank you with these words: "I am so happy to see the Bible that you sent me. Here is food more nourishing than any normal food. I am also sending the report on literacy classes [here at Mikingi.] May God be glorified." Lukutu Mayala of Makwampimp (on the eastern side of the Kwilu River) wrote, "Mama Miriam, I bless the Eternal One for the love expressed by sending me two more Bibles. May God smother you with blessings."
