Does your job training or college program include a cup of milk for your children?  It does in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

The Women's School of Kikongo offers a unique program that prepares the wives of student pastors for the demands of rural ministry.  The program costs $66 for each woman and it covers the cost for classroom instruction in the Bible, literacy training, health and Christian education.  She receives two notebooks, two pens and a Bible.

That same $66 also provides each woman with sewing supplies and the training to make clothing for her family.  PLUS she receives ingredients to do some cooking and instruction in how to prepare nutritious meals.

$66 goes a long, long way in Congo because it means the woman has nursery care for her toddles, AND they get a daily cup of milk.  And there's kindergarten training for the older children while their mother is attending classes.

At the end of the program, each woman has learned how to be a positive role model for other women, and she's become a development leader in her community.  She knows how to read, and is able to deliver a Biblical message and lead worship.  The graduates know how to manage their home and family well, which includes providing support and wise counsel to their husband. They form women's groups that will support and help each other grow in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

All that and a cup of milk.  For just $66.

The Women's School of Kikongo is in danger of closing its doors at the end of 2010.  Your support of this mission project will help keep the doors open so that many more women can receive this important training.  And their children will continue to get a daily cup of milk.
