International Ministries is excited to announce a pre-Biennial trip to Haiti!

Dates: June 18 – 23, 2011  All team members must arrive in Puerto Rico on June 17th to leave together on June 18th.

Location: Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitien sites

Team Leader: Rev. Gene Gentry, former missionary in Haiti

Cost: $1300

Deadline to sign-up: March 30th

Full payment due April 15th

The cost for this mission trip will include room, board, translators, clean drinking water, round trip transportation San Juan to Haiti, and all transportation in Haiti.  Cost does not include airfare to San Juan PR, passport, exit visas, or immunization costs. Please note that when published, the cost is estimated, based on hotel rates, flight costs, and changes in the economy.

Team Size: 12 people

Due to housing and transportation challenges, this team is limited to 11 people plus team leader. If more than 11 apply, preference will be given to those who have never been to Haiti and limited to one per church. If there is room after March 30th, the team will be filled with people on the waiting list.

Visit, learn, and serve in Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitien.  Fly from San Juan, PR to Port-au-Prince, where the January 2010 earthquake shattered buildings, dreams, and lives.  See how God is working through the ministries of the Convention Baptiste du Haiti (CBH) American Baptist Churches USA, and countless volunteers to help Haiti get back on her feet.  Because the earthquake damaged the roads, team members will fly from Port-au-Prince fly to Cap Haitien, where American Baptist International Ministries missionaries have had a presence for 67 years.

Be prepared to be the hands and feet of Christ at one of the many ministry opportunities in north Haiti. Details on what you’ll be doing, and any special equipment or gear you’ll need will be provided closer to the trip.  The team will fly back to Port-au-Prince and San Juan in time to register for the Biennial on June 24th.  Be prepared to tell the story of how God is working in Haiti at the Biennial, at your home church, and in your community!   Contact bimvolunteers@abc-usa.org for more details.
