Can’t go to Haiti before the Biennial? Serve Haitian communities in the Dominican Republic after the Biennial!
Dates: June 27 – July 5, 2011

Location: La Romana and Santo Domingo areas
Team Leader: Bill Huegel, experienced team leader to the Dominican Republic
Application Deadline: March 30th
Final Payment Due: April 15th
Serve with Kristy Engel, American Baptist missionary at the Good Samaritan Hospital and the surrounding bateys in La Romana, DR. Ministries include construction at the hospital, medical clinics, and food distribution in the bateys. Leave La Romana and head north to Santo Domingo, where you will engage in ministry with Haitians who have immigrated to Dominican Republic, prior to and after the earthquake. Led by Madeline Flores-Lopez, American Baptist missionary volunteer coordinator for the Caribbean, you will engage with partners in Haiti who minister by being the hands and feet of Jesus to people in need.
Cost will include round trip airfare from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Santo Domingo and all food, lodging and ground transportation in the Dominican Republic. Cost is based on a ten person team. Costs will not include air fare to San Juan, PR prior to the mission trip, passport, immunizations, souvenirs, and personal expenses. **Cost subject to change based on actual team size and fluctuations in airfare.
