Urgent need for a female volunteer, fluent in basic Spanish, to work with Mayan women who are members of the collective that the Mayols have developed. She will create a catalog of the products, help the Mayols to improve the quality of the products, establish a sale and distribution network and, if possible, an international network, and conduct workshops on merchandising under the banner of the collective.
The volunteer needs to be willing to take the initiative in the area of her expertise but work in a team with Doris and local leaders, and be willing to travel alone, at least part of the way, to some villages after being shown the local routes. She will also be the encourager of the women and will conduct simple Bible studies. She will be given one or two courses and workshops relating to Chiapas and Mayan culture.
