Prayer and Praise Points

* Thanks for praying for my US visit. I had a wonderful time with family celebrating my niece’s marriage and my mother’s 80th birthday. The time flew by, and now I have one month back in Chiang Mai before I leave again for a 3 month home assignment. Please be praying as I do the necessary preparations for the times of sharing in the US

* Praise God--Pi Noon, the House of Love’s nurse, has received her visa for the US and will return with me in September and travel with me. Of course, her leaving means we need to find just the right nurse who can help at the House of Love. Please join us in praying for a tribal nurse with a heart for children with AIDS.

* PTL and keep praying! We are thrilled with how our newest House of Love child, Suttee, is growing in his skills and his obvious enjoyment of life! He smiles so much now—and is interacting more and more each day. His learning program is going well—although he is 8, he could not do basic skills like draw circles and catch a ball, and each day seems to bring new growth in his abilities. Please pray specifically that we can get the hearing aids that he needs.

* Please pray for the adults at the House of Love as new skills are needed when parenting the children as they enter their teens. I have read that the teen years are an opportunity to have each person understand fully who he/she is in Christ—but it certainly comes with challenges for us as well!!

* The head teacher for the daycare returns from her maternity leave this month—please be praying for Kruu Kanchana as she adjusts back to teaching.

* A praise: We are almost finished with the government approval needed to start the building—we hope to start the fence around the property next week. Please keep praying for the finances in light of the very weak dollar.

* The HPTP teams would value prayer as they do filming and photography for the different DVDs they are working on.
