Karen Mason, director of special events for IM, said “The number one thing people want most from our events is the chance to meet and talk with the missionaries. The format of IM’s Pavilion will allow attendees to ask the missionaries questions they might not feel comfortable asking in front of a large group of people such as updates on their children or the challenges they face in transitioning to a new field of service.”
The theme for IM’s Pavilion is “Celebrating Missionaries” and many will have just arrived from their fields of service. The missionaries will be able to share the latest news and information about their ministry, current prayer needs, and upcoming opportunities for volunteer mission teams to come and work alongside them on the field.
The missionaries at the Biennial include Gary and Mylinda Baits (Costa Rica), Mercy Barnes (Mexico), Carlos Bonilla & Mayra Giovanetti (Spain), Deliris Carrión – Rosa (Haiti), Ann & Bill Clemmer (Congo & Sudan), Madeline Flores–López (the Dominican Republic), Sue Hegarty (Cuba), Doris & Ricardo Mayol (Mexico), Kihomi Ngwemi & Nzunga Mabudiga (Haiti), Ingrid Roldán-Román (Panama), and Phil Smith (Brazil). Also attending is Global Consultant on Human Trafficking Lauran Bethell (the Netherlands) and development worker Deb Mulneix (India).
Biennial attendees will also have the unique opportunity to be introduced to IM’s newest missionaries, JD and Rhonda Reed from West Virginia. The Reeds will be commissioned in July for service to Bolivia.
IM’s pavilion is one of nine experiential learning and spiritual growth opportunities available on Saturday, June 25 from 9:00 am - Noon. Each pavilion is structured in 30 minute segments allowing Biennial attendees the chance to move among the pavilions throughout the morning.
