What joy can there be in a conference on prostitution? This is the joy we expect:
The Joy of Restoration: Times of prayer and praise and singing and silence and hearing testimonies of how God has restored lives shattered in the sex industry will bring joy.
The Joy of Learning: We will gather with the understanding that each of us brings rich experiences from which we all can learn, and, so, we will come with open ears and open eyes.
The Joy of a Burden Shared: Hearing the challenges confronting people in their ministries, we will share the burdens they bear, hoping to make them lighter.
The Joy of Fellowship: Christians from 35 countries around the world--practitioners and survivors, pilgrims and students--will participate.
The Joy of Diversity: The living rainbow of God’s people will shimmer with God’s creativity, reminding us that we are more alike than different.
The Joy of Service: We will celebrate the opportunities that God has given us to announce God’s love to the world, especially to men, women, and children who are being exploited.
Join in the joy by lifting up this conference and all participants in prayer. You can also “reJOYce” that, with International Ministries (IM) Global Consultant Rev. Lauran Bethell as Conference Facilitator and IM’s provision of scholarships for some participants from developing countries, your support of International Ministries helps make this important international networking event possible.
“For you shall go out in joy, and be led back in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall burst into song, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12
