Ministry during the rainy season in Chiang Rai

Chuck Fox , Missionary , Thailand

Dear Friends,

I wanted to give an update on recent activities in our ministry here in Chiang Rai. Below is a brief summary of the kinds of things that we are engaged in this rainy season: water systems, teaching, Akha craft, and family.

Love in Christ,

Chuck and Ruth Fox

I took a team of kids from the Family Learning Center to work with the Akha to put in a water system in a village without water

The water made it to the top of the village where tanks will be built

I have been training the Akha to do story telling using flannel board. Basically, we are at this level in the village. The Akha Churches of Thailand have asked me to write a teaching curriculum for the pictures.

Fox5

The Akha are really interested when you use story as a method to teach about God

Fox6

Most recently the Akha craft staff have been showing women in villages new opportunities for income

Fox7

Here Psami is showing an Akha woman in a village exactly what stitching pattern is needed so that it might be marketable
