To all our friends: We arrived safely in Southern California on Friday, Oct 5. Thank you for your prayers. From Oct 12 through 28, we will be visiting churches in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, California and Illinois. This will be an exciting and demanding few weeks! As you know, we have formed a missionary partnership team and they are working very hard to build the network of those partnering with us through prayer, pastoral care and resource support. On Aug 31, a letter was sent to 200 individuals and churches requesting their continued participation on this Mission Partnership Network. To date, our team has received responses from about 50 contacts. If you did NOT receive a letter in the mail, would you please read the letter below from our missionary partnership team and consider responding. To reply to the letter below, email the contacts in the message, as International Ministries is sending this out on our behalf. Replies to this listserv email will not go to our missionary partnership team. To email us, please go to our profile page and select "contact." We would love to hear from you!!! We really hope to see you while we are in the U.S. And we hope you'll prayerfully consider joining our network of active supporters. God bless you! Ed and Miriam = = = = = = = = = October 9, 2007 Noyes Mission Partnership Team Greetings from the Lusekele Center in the Democratic Republic of Congo We have the awesome privilege of bringing you greetings from Ed and Miriam Noyes, American Baptist Missionaries serving in the Congo for more than twenty years. The needs of God’s children are timeless, yet the tools we use to support the work of the church is changing. I represent a small group of four members of the Noyes MPT – Missionary Partnership Team. We serve as volunteers in support of the amazing ministries of Ed and Miriam. You and/or your church are currently on our list of folks interested in receiving information about their ministry. We need your help providing support for the Noyes through: * prayer and communication * financial support * stateside volunteer in support of Ed & Miriam We are currently updating our Missionary Partnership Network. While the behind-the-scenes support is the responsibility of the MPT, the work requires contributions from a much larger group and we call that group the Missionary Partnership Network. As you can imagine, this is a huge task and we NEED your help. Our first request is that you continue to support the Noyes and their MPT in your prayers. Next we need to update our Network list. If you are interested in Ed’s work at the Lusekele Agricultural Development Center and the Baptist Women’s Literacy Program co-led by Miriam, please RSVP so that you will remain on our Network list. You may contact us one of two ways: 1] Send an E-mail to Don Watson at: donjw@comcast.net OR 2] Mail your response to: Don Watson, 1271 Mandarin St. NE, Keizer, OR 97303. If you and/or your church are not already providing financial support to Ed and Miriam and would like to give, please consider the following opportunities. Many of our ABC-USA churches will be participating in the World Mission Offering in October or other dates this fall. The two most helpful ways to do so are: 1] WMO Directed - Noyes: support gifts related to the World Mission Offering OR 2] Targeted - Noyes: gifts from individuals and churches for missionary support other than WMO. You may make these gifts through your church, your region office or directly to International Ministries, PO Box 851, Valley Forge, PA 19482-0851. Individuals can also support missionaries by giving via the International Ministries website, go to: https://secure.internationalministies.org/donations To read their profile, go to: http://profiles.internationalministries.org/profiles/view/5220 Once at this web page, you may read the journals by clicking on “ Journals” and selecting one to read. Blessings to all, Don Watson Noyes MPT Convener
