This is not your grandmother’s World Mission Conference! Gone are the days of missionaries in frumpy clothing from the deepest jungles of Africa showing old black and white movies.

Today’s missionaries are on the streets of Bulgaria offering hope to women trafficked into prostitution. They are in the hills of northern Thailand helping the local tribes market their coffee crop to Starbucks. They are giving seminars on AIDS prevention in Congo.

Whether they teach micro-enterprise techniques in formerly Communist nations, host hundreds of volunteers on mission work teams, coach new Brazilian missionaries to speak English, or assist American Baptist churches to welcome the refugees resettling in their communities, today’s missionaries are doing work their grandmothers never imagined!

The World Mission Conference programs are engaging, dynamic and interactive. These creative programs use videos, skits, global music and worship to feature missionaries and international guests fresh from the mission fields. In keeping with the theme of “Surprised by the Word: Mission and the Unscripted God”, we promise surprises and lots of unscripted moments!

The new weekend format for the World Mission Conference is packed with opportunities for you to get involved in missions. You can interact with missionaries, conference leaders, mission agencies and international guests from Burma, Lebanon, Thailand, Russia, Congo, Japan, Bulgaria, Brazil, India, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and the Middle East.

Experience the World Mission Conference with your family. The youth mission program is for those in grades 6 – 12. It will rock their world with an Xtreme Cross Cultural Xperience filled with activities, music, games, and hilarious antics! Childcare is available Friday evening through Sunday noon for those in 5th grade and younger. The kids will have visits from missionaries and staff who will tell stories, play games and sing songs from other cultures.
