Work with Sustainable Agriculture in an International Community in Rural Japan

Asian Rural Institute (ARI) is an international and ecumenical training center for rural community leaders set on a farm in Northern Japan. Volunteer with participants from Africa, Nagaland, Myanmar, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and more as together you learn and grow (literally!).  Acres and acres of farmland await you!  You'll be a part of an amazing sustainable agricultural program, live and work with folks from around the world, and be in JAPAN!!

Volunteers follow the same basic schedule as the participants, join in morning gathering, meals, and farm/livestock care.  Preparing meals and cleaning the living areas are also part of the fun of community.

You will learn more about yourself, about God's amazing world, as well as different cultures and how every living thing can exist together in harmony.

You will live and work with the participants and help with farm work and school operations.  Help in the areas of livestock, crops and vegetables, meal service, food processing, office or maintenance are needed.   www.ari-edu.org/english/index.html
