A Work in Progress

After returning from Curacautin, we rested during the morning on Sunday and left Sheer Joy of Sharingto San Carlos in the afternoon. Our eyes could not believe what they saw. A work in progress, and what progress... That in what has to do with the construction. More importantly was to see how our brothers and sisters came to worship service in the Margarita celebrates her birthday.evening, despite the bitter cold. They were celebrating what God had done with and for them the previous week, Margarita celebrated her birthday, Pastor Rolando had a good meeting with a fellow pastor, we shared the excitement of our day in Curacautin, and there was just sheer joy over being together in this temple, a work in progress, that was compared to our own lives that are a work in progress.

The evening sermon was shared by Yohana Contreras, a graduate from the Yohana illustrates her sermon, while Evangelina reads from Jeremiah.Certificate of Christian Leadership that was taught in San Carlos under the Institute's umbrella. She and her husband Camilo, also a graduate from the same program, have become key leaders in this young congregation in San Carlos. The sermon was based on Jeremiah 18:1-6 which she illustrated before hand. What a joy to hear her speaking from her heart, based on the Scriptures, and see how much she's grown since her first sermon four years ago. With a humble heart and a servant attitude, she shared the Bread of Life with all of us and we were nourished.

Praise be to God who is building this church of people at the same time as he is enabling them to build the church of bricks, lumber, metal, and glass that is already a house of worship for many in the 11 de Septiembre neighborhood.

A work in progress ourselves,
