Dear Friends,
I have two prayer requests.
- I received a phone call today from my sister living in Columbus. She reported that my father has been hospitalized again. He has pneumonia and is having a lot of difficulty breathing. His oxygen levels were below 80% when he arrived at the hospital. The hospital staff also reported that his blood sugar level was very high and that they would be testing him for diabetes. Although he has an elevator at his house, it was not working when the ambulance came to pick up my father to take him to the hospital, and in the process of getting him down the stairs, my father's right shoulder was dislocated. Not only does the shoulder cause him a lot of pain, but he is not able to move his right arm. Since his left arm is paralyzed from the stroke, this leaves him unable to move either of his arms and limits what he can do for himself. Please pray for both my father, Ray, and for my sister, Bev, as she cares for my father and makes decisions about his care.
- I still have a lot to do before I leave for Thailand. Please pray as I prepare to leave for a year or two and as I say good-bye to family.
Thanks again for your commitment to pray for me and to encourage me.
Kim
