Although the American Thanksgiving falls in November, I am reminded that we don't wait for a specific day to give thanks! For example, every evening, the children at the House of Love give thanks for the foreign sponsors whose faithful giving enables them to have a stable home. Here at the office, we are quick to praise God for the funders who enable us to continue the project.I thank God for the Christian staff we have at IMEM.And I am ever reminded that without your partnership, I would not be able to share God's love and message of salvation to the people here in Thailand. Thank you!
Prayer Points
- Securing funding for the House of Blessing Daycare operational budget for next year is critical. Please pray for the financial support needed to keep this vital program going.
- We are in negotiations for a piece of land that we will use to build the new House of Love. Please be praying these can be accomplished with openness and integrity. We have been searching for land at the right price for over a year, and need God's help as we work with the owners and government officials.
Praise Points
- We received a large grant from Rotary International to purchase much needed equipment for the House of Blessing Daycare. We are most excited that there is also money to buy 5 computers as well!
- We are rejoicing that the HIV-infected children at the HOL are experiencing good health. Each one has gained weight this past month—always a good sign!
Thank you for praying for a good school break for the HOL kids.It was a safe
time for all, and they have many happy memories, including an outing to a swimming pool, another to a steak house, and taking turns staying overnight at my house. Many of the older children attended the camp held by the HPTP.School restarted on October 24.
Thank you for praying for the youth camp that HPTP staff held on Oct. 17-19.The camp targeted tribal youth 4th grade and older and 56 young people attended.
The theme was AIDS prevention and Christian morality, "Making Right Choices in Relationships".The pastor who taught had the kids actively comparing the world's morality with what God teaches in the Bible. It was exciting to see everyone gaining confidence in knowing and understanding what and why they believe. And many of the participants had the opportunity to use the microphone in sharing times—another way we saw the young people becoming more self-assured.
