Dear Friends,

As you know Pat is in the States with her dad who is suffering from cancer.

I just received word that my dad passed away a short while ago. I am glad he did not 'wait'. It was past time for him to go to be with our Lord. This is not a shock since he has suffered from Alzheimer's for many years.

I will get to Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday the 3rd (USA time) and the service for my dad will be on Sunday. I plan to stay until the 12th.

I know that you will be praying for us.

• Please also remember to pray for the school here that various professors will be able to pick up what I am leaving undone during this period of final exams.
