Dear Friends!

We hope all is well with you!Kari and I wanted to tell those of you who know us pretty well to keep us in your prayers for the next few months.We discovered last week that Kari is about two months pregnant!It was a big surprise to us, too...(Oh, and thanks to so many of you who have offered to sit us down and explain how these things work:-) -- we obviously haven't caught on yet!)

The thought of having another child is pretty cool, but also a little overwhelming, so pray that Kari would have a healthy pregnancy, okay?The terrific medical care here in Japan is reassuring, but our mediocre Japanese is not!
