Kim Kushner Dominguez serves in both regional
and local ministry projects in Latin America and the Caribbean for American
Baptist International Ministries.
Kim has been invited by partners in Latin America and the Caribbean to serve as
coordinator of a regional assessment of leadership development through
Kim’s assessment project currently has her
working with several partner ministries in Cuba. Given the rapid pace of church
growth in Cuba, assessment of leadership development for new and growing
churches and conventions is essential. Because of the complexity of residency
permits in Cuba, Kim’s ministry base is currently Valley Forge, PA and while
she travels back and forth to Cuba.
Prior to serving in partnership with Cuban
Baptist partners, Kim lived and served in El Salvador where she partnered with
the Baptist Federation of El Salvador (FEBES).
In addition to completion of completing a
leadership assessment of strengths, challenges, and areas for growth in
leadership development within the unique Salvadoran context, Kim also supported
work of local ministries. Her efforts were primarily focused on FEBES’
initiatives of empowering youth and women through leadership development. She
also assisted churches in exploring economic development and sustainability
solutions for social outreach ministries. Finally, Kim provided support to
short-term volunteers from the US and Canada who came to serve with FEBES
