Posted on September 21, 2022 300 Million Muslims. Will They Hear About Christ?

In 2014, we witnessed two historical events. The first was the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of International Ministries. The second was the birth of the Arab Spring, a movement that quickly spread across the Middle East and North Africa and promised transformative changes. At that time, God led me to believe: Now is the hour of salvation for the 300+ million Muslims who have long been neglected by Christian missions.

The vision God gave me was a turning point in my life and ministry. Enduring Love (EL) was born that year, aiming to enable Arab believers to be fully engaged in evangelism, discipleship and church planting. Today, EL empowers 29 Arab servants (many of whom are converts from Islam), ministering in their home countries of Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq.

As a young boy in India, I grew up in Serampore, in the very home where William Carey, the founder of the modern missionary movement, also spent his years. On the eve of his long voyage to India, he preached from the text of Isaiah 54:2-3 and challenged his audience to: “Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God.” I want to challenge us to do the same!

Over the pandemic, our EL missionaries have baptized more than 200 new believers and have planted numerous churches. We visited many of these churches during our most recent visit to this region earlier in the summer. However, the struggle they still face is that most of them are small house churches with inadequate resources to physically expand. Yet, at the same time, they are spiritually expanding and are quickly outgrowing the houses (or, in one case, under the shade of a tree) where they are worshipping.

More Muslims have come to trust in Jesus over the last couple of decades than in all of the previous centuries combined! This is why we have set a goal of raising $250,000 every year to disciple and plant churches in this region. I prayerfully urge you to please come alongside us and to contribute generously as we make this vision a reality. Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God!

May you experience joy and blessings through this partnership,
