WATI is an associate missionary in Theological Education in East and South Asia. He is deeply convinced that theological education should become an instrument for people’s liberation. For it to be life-affirming, engaging, and transforming, theology has to be anchored in people’s local experience, and theological education can play a crucial role in responding to the needs of both urban and rural contexts. Wati is an activist theologian, pastor, administrator, facilitator, and writer. He draws on decades of experience teaching at theological seminaries in the US, India, and Taiwan. He is passionate about equipping graduates to serve not only as pastors but also to serve in diverse community development works to enhance their well-being.
Wati is an associate global servant.
