Posted on November 18, 2014 Children are from God! / ¡Los niños son de Cristo!

This is Roderick, a child who is only 1-1/2 years old, who is being raised in my house because his mother helps me with the housework. He came to my house when he was only two months old and so he is with me while I am operating the daily tutoring program at my house.

Every morning and afternoon we have a time of singing and we pray that God will bless our work and that of the students. Roderick has learned to make the gestures of the songs when we sing and also when we say, “We are going to pray, and when we pray we bow our heads and close our eyes.” He moves forward, facing the chair that he has in his play area and assumes the position of being in prayer. Perhaps he cannot repeat the prayer or understand our prayer to God, but when we say “Amen” he stands up straight and continues playing.

It is never too early to start sowing the seed of the word of God in our children. God will make sure that his blessed word becomes meaningful for their lives and consequently for the lives of their families.

I thank God for being able to make an impact on Roderick and also on the other 55 students in our tutoring program who are learning the need to make a special place in their hearts for God.
