GoalThe goal of this project is to construct a new building at the Ecole du l’Enfant Epanoul school so they have space to accept more students from low-income families.
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $21,000 for the first phase of a $100,000 construction project for an earthquake-safe school building in Haiti.
DescriptionThe Ecole du l’Enfant Epanoul school in Haiti was founded in 2000. Its goal is to provide a quality education in a Christ-like setting to children in low-income families. Since its formation, the Ecole du l’Enfant Epanoul had to change its location four times. Currently, classrooms are located in a house rented on a yearly grant basis. The age of the house raises safety issues and the house does not meet earthquake codes. Your gift will allow children to obtain a quality education in a safe classroom environment. Your support will enable the school to reach more children with the gospel, nurture them as they grow in their faith and transform their families and communities through the power of education. This project will be managed by the founder and principal of the school, Marlene Dorsinville, with help from Joel Dorsinville.
Suggested Gifts$100 provides three meters of sand. $250 provides one ton of half-inch rebar. $500 provides 700 cement blocks.
Prayer RequestsPray that a new building would give the students a safe, physical environment to advance their studies.
