GoalThe goal of this project is to enable Neighborhood Ministries to establish house churches on the borders with Bangladesh and Bhutan, provide Bibles to new believers and train volunteer leaders
SummaryThis project seeks to raise $15,000 annually to provide support for the important work of evangelistic outreach in North East India.
DescriptionASSAM in Northeast India borders Bangladesh and Bhutan, two nations unreached for Christ. There are 80 house churches along those borders, and their members are working among some of the most challenging communities. This project will be managed by International Ministries Development Workers in North East India Katie and Taku Longkumer. They will work with the leaders to impart training encouragement and guidance. It is anticipated that this project will increase the number of house churches, strengthen new believers and equip them to reach out to their neighbors. Despite great personal risk, 50 volunteer leaders are engaged in evangelism and church planting through Neighborhood Ministries, and dozens of new believers prepare for baptism each month. The leaders need training and Bibles. The coordinator and 10 community workers under him need support for their travel and ministry expenses to baptize and teach new believers.
Suggested GiftsA gift of $50 covers monthly expenses for one community worker. A gift of $100 covers the coordinator’s travel for a month. A gift of $200 pays the coordinator’s monthly salary.
Prayer RequestsPray for this important evangelistic outreach to bring hope, light and love. Pray that the leaders will be encouraged during their training sessions. Pray for the safety of the people as they work in some challenging communities.
