Many participated in new missional encounters at the 2022 World Mission Conference at Green Lake (WI). The staff of the Short-Term Mission desk accompanied by four Special Assistants from Great Rivers, West Virginia and Philadelphia regions hosted a “Meet & Greet ice cream social” on July 4th and two virtual mission encounters on July 6th and 8th.

All who attended the STM sponsored workshops lived something new.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8)

On July 6th, 70 people from all regions traveled with SAT-7 to Egypt and Lebanon, to hear, see and experience ministry in that region of the world. For 90 minutes, they heard testimonies from Christ followers living abroad, heard about SAT-7 https://www.sat7usa.org/ from Ray Heinen, Director of Ministry Partnership, and the long partnership IM and SAT-7 have had. Attendees visited with SAT-7 staff from the comfort of their chairs at Bauer Lodge in Wisconsin.

Curious to experience more of what SAT-7 does in the MENA region, please sign up for the 3-Day virtual Mission Express scheduled for 9/13, 9/14 & 9/15. https://portal.internationalministries.org/global-service-opportunities/record/a073m00000p9ZA2AAM

Sue Heinen will teach attendees how to prepare a local dish, during the 3-Day virtual Mission Express encounter. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rWjnaNYLsogqqNOiduHksFY8yJolznDo/view

On July 8th, 70+ people joined the STM team and traveled to Nicaragua

with AMOS https://www.amoshealth.org/ and Christy Lafferty and other staff based in Nicaragua. We all experienced the special ministry of Health Promoters who reach the most vulnerable in providing health, hope and delivering preventative care to mothers, babies and many in hard to reach communities in rural Nicaragua.

The Young and seasoned servants, salt and light of the earth, came from near and far to be encouraged by testimonies, God’s Word and other siblings in Christ to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).

Here are members of the team from the Puerto Rico region who attended the 2022 World Mission Conference. What a blessing everyone was!

Thank you for all your prayers, support and experiencing new ways of living short-term mission experiences. For more information about short-term mission opportunities, please email: volunteers@internationalministries.org or listen to B4M podcast https://bridgesformission.buzzsprout.com/
