In February, President Don Ng and board member Peter Armacost of the Friends of North East Christian University visited the University in Nagaland, Northeast South Asia. They were hosted by Dr. Darlando Khathing, Vice Chancellor of the University and International Ministries development worker Taku. Don and Peter met with the university officers and church leaders, and gave consultation to the organizational and financial development of the school. Taku shared that “the North East Christian University (NECU), along with all educational institutions in South Asia, have been shut down due to COVID-19 since mid-March, and NECU teachers have been providing online teaching.” Dr. Khathing also shared that “The national lockdown has heightened the financial challenges of this fledgling institution. We are grateful that due to the generous giving of our supporting churches in South Asia and in the US, we are able to maintain the school. Please continue to pray for us and COVID situation of South Asia.”

NECU is established to provide a wholesome education that is global in perspective, Christian in character and practical in its approach. NECU has committed to integrating faith and knowledge, character and service to transform and empower students for leadership in challenging times. Click to provide financial support of the school:
