Dear faithful partners in ministry,

Many of you have been following my posts on Facebook about the current civil unrest in Bolivia. If you don’t have Facebook then this may be news to you. In short, on October 20th, there were presidential elections and because of the disagreements of the final result there have been protests and increase violence all over the country during confrontations. For the most part the protests have been peaceful, but since there has been no transportation I’ve been working from my home.

After talking and praying with International Ministries leadership, the Reeds, and our national partners, we have decided to go to the US until the political situation stabilizes. Due to the current situation here we are unable to do ministry, so the Reeds and I have been advised from IM to work remotely in the States for the time being. This was a hard decision to make and  with a heavy heart I write this, but I know it was the best decision for me at this time. I plan to stay with my family through Thanksgiving and hopefully return soon afterwards.

Please keep Bolivia in your prayers. Pray for peace and justice to prevail. Pray that there will be a peaceful resolution to this unrest. Pray for the day laborers; these last 19 days (as of Nov. 10th) of indefinite national strike have really affected them.

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!

Blessings,

Sarah
