Thank you for all your prayers!!

For the first time since April, 2020, we are now at 100% of our support goal (support pledged)! How did it change so quickly from last month? An anonymous donor generously pledged an amount to IM that would fill our gap in funding for four years! This is truly a miraculous gift and we are deeply thankful for people that listen to the Lord for partnering in ministry through IM. Thank you IM for connecting us with this wonderful partner! The result is a very healthy financial start of 2022 at 100% of our support goal. We cannot thank our ongoing partners (both individuals and churches) plus our Missionary Partnership Team (MPT) enough! We are Re-Set in Rifu for ministry. PTL!

Happy Lunar New Year! The days have flown by. We are almost settled into our apartment in Rifu. We are a 5 minutes walk to the Oasis Chapel (central) and a 3 minute walk to Rifu station. The train noise is actually cute here!

Most of our welcome and moving team in Rifu

The Lord provided a team, a moving truck rental, and van for our move to Rifu! All the details worked out so that we could pack and move on December 27, just two days after our quarantine ended. The Lord also provided good weather for our trip north, even though the prediction was for snow. (Our minivan was fixed in time for the second trip.)

Welcome Committee

Welcoming committee!

Both the truck rental and van made it safely to Rifu and we unloaded in the dark. (Matthew stayed on and helped with the purchase of some heating/AC units for our apartment.) People from Oasis Chapel provided delicious bento dinners for us!! Miki was very excited!!

Fellowship

Making friends and searching for ministry partners

Lee Ann has unpacked and organized our apartment so we can begin our ministry with Oasis Chapel. Pastor Makito advised us to spend the next two months making friends and praying. As we hear their stories, we are listening for the Lord to direct us to partners in ministry. So, we had many meetings with church members, a women’s small group, visited Oishan Cafe, and continued English Cafe outreach (virtual). Please continue to pray for us as we begin these important relationships!

Much Love,

Gordon and Lee Ann
