GoalThis project seeks to raise $379,000 to purchase the building where NightLight currently does production and jobs training and, at the same time, provide a home for Song Sawang church.
SummaryBy enabling the purchase of a new location for NightLight and Song Sawang Church in Thailand, this project will support ministry to women affected by the sex industry and their families.
DescriptionPlease help with a financial gift to purchase the building where NightLight in Bangkok provides dignifying employment to Thai women and job training to international women who are affected by sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation. This same building will also provide a new location for Song Sawang (“Shine the Light") Church. "What an amazing Christmas gift that will enable Nightlight to continue to minister to countless women who seek dignifying employment, and for the church to provide a way to introduce the families to God’s grace,” says Annie. "God works in amazing ways though our donors!" NightLight International has been ministering to Thai women who seek to leave commercial sexual exploitation and gain ethical employment. Song Sawang Church is a safe place for women to worship and to bring their friends and families to introduce them to the love of Christ. NightLight is led by Annie Dieselberg, a missionary of International Ministries (IM), Song Sowang Church’s lead pastor and IM missionary is Jeff Dieselberg. Panomporn Utaisri shares leadership with Annie and Jeff as Director of NighLight Foundation and co-pastor of Song Sawang Church. With over 14 years of successful ministry in Bangkok, Thailand, NightLight has been paying rent for its current location and is now at risk of losing the space. Meanwhile, Song Sawang Church ministry is seeking a new location. By securing the needed $379,000 in funding through IM, NightLight can purchase the building it currently rents. This building is adjacent to NightLight Design's permanent location, so jobs could remain without disruption. Furthermore, when remodeled, the two buildings together will have enough square footage on the first floor to accommodate Song Sawang Church. Annie and Jeff are excited to see how God is answering the prayers NightLight has prayed for many years!
Prayer RequestsPray for women who have affected by sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation, that they would be able to discover their dignity and holistic transformation, empowering them to live and work in their communities. Pray for NightLight’s church plant, Song Sawang Church, that it may reach out to and attract family, friends and strangers, including men, youths and children, bringing more growth and diversity to the congregational makeup. Pray for God to release the funds necessary to secure the new building that will provide space for dignifying employment for women and a space for Sunday and weekly worship and discipleship..
