Posted on October 6, 2020 We Are Meeting Together Again at Church!

Dear Ones,

We are so happy to be able to announce to you that we have resumed our in-person services at the International Protestant Church of Kinshasa. It’s been over six months since we have been able to meet together because of COVID-19. Now after months of online services we are blessed to be able to come together even if it is in a new and limited way.

This world-wide pandemic has caused churches all over the world to learn to meet online. For us this was a quick learning curve but God blessed us and many participated in these online services. Still our need to meet together was strong and many prayed for the church to reopen.

After six long months of separation we are finally able to meet together again. We are following the recommendations of the Government and the official health organizations which include: wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing, and temperature taking. This is a necessary new change to do our best to keep everyone safe while we meet together.

As you can imagine wearing masks and distancing ourselves is new for all of us and could tend to make the church feel cold and inactive. However, it didn’t take long for the praises to break out and the joy of being together soon overcame the discomfort of the new measures.

Our first Sunday was a huge blessing for us all and we are looking forward to meeting together as a church in this new way. We would appreciate your prayers for us for safety and wisdom during these uncertain times. Our dream is that Jesus will be lifted up and that His church will grow and mature even in times like these. He is still Lord of all. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers and support,

Jill and Mike Lowery
